This book had a lot of stuff happen, but it seemed that only the last 4 chapters or so actually had anything to do with the plot. I wanted so badly to see a strong power couple in Adrian and Isolde but I really saw a lot of miscommunication and a good chunk of unnecessary "steamy time". I thought they were better than that. I think maybe I would read a small side story of Sorin and Daroc, but I definitely don't think I'd be willing to read anything else of this universe. I'm bummed, to say the least, but maybe its just me and I missed what was meant?
I really loved this book, but there were a ton of situations where things progressed at an unrealistic and oddly written amount of time that made the story feel cheap.

this was really a 2.5 read for me.
First, I listened to the audiobook so may have missed some bits from distraction, but I don't really feel that it mattered all that much. The sex scenes were not the issue. it was the plot and the direction the story was taking. I feel the whole book was to bring some sort of confusion to the story and it did. I'm not sure where this story is going, but I do like my books to have some direction and at least a purpose other than create confusion to lose you. things happened. There was fights and attacks and intrique, but nothing that felt it moved the story forward and after the first book, I was stoked to continue this story out of pure curiosity. Now.....I don't know.

Ummmm sometimes every book doesn’t need to be a trilogy or a series. I feel like a lot of the activities & background stories that happened in this book could’ve been done in one book and wrapped up.
DNF - even the smut couldn't save this book. I got 30% in (which felt like way longer) and I was just bored. Definitely not as good as the first unfortunately.
.Sex with a plot! Adrian and Isole fight a lot. Isolde turns into an Aufhawker and lots of twists and plot surprises
