i read this book immediately after the first part but was a bit disappointed. everything happened at once but at the same time it felt like nothing significant and exciting really happened. also there was a lot of misspelling and the sex scenes got a little out of control

I wish that I had re-read King of Battle and Blood before I read Queen of Myth and Monsters just so I could have a refresher on what all was going on. There are a lot of moving pieces in this one and I did find myself confused at times. That being said I do love Adrian and Isolde together. They’re both flawed and real. And their spicy scenes???

2.5 stars; faltered a bit. the storyline meandered and never really coalesced into anything resembling a strong plot. both mcs became more unlikeable as the book wore on. plus, so many side characters turned out to be “traitors,” that it stopped being surprising.
Ugh. Almost DNF'd. I thought I would see this series through until the end but I genuinely can't take it. I don't care how it ends. Isolde is insufferable and Adrian is a milketoast love interest. Genuinely do not understand why some of these plot twists were necessary.
This one is a bit of a conundrum. I'm bored but intrigued. Annoyed, but I want to keep reading. Once i started skimming the pages, I knew this was the end. Basically, all I got from this was Isolde takes naps, fights with Adrian, smashes Adrian, misses her mom, and wants to free her people but doesn't know how. There's was so much promise here, but it was like a slow-moving car going nowhere slowly.
