This is a nice book that adds a new and different perspective to Alex and his life, but to be honest, it just makes his life seem sadder in retrospect. I used to assume that he would get "down time" between his major missions (aka each book), but this mini book has just blown that idea out the water.

Fun set of short stories to go with the overall Alex Rider series! As they are short stories, there's much more emphasis on quick action, so the villains are less complex than in the main books, but still fun! I do enjoy the full books more but am glad to be able to round them out with Secret Weapon!
While I love reuniting with mini MI-6 spy Alex Rider -don't mind the fact that I am now more than 20 years her senior. This one was a bit puzzling to me. The short stories ...the way they were organised... It didn't quite hit my expectations ... maybe is it because I was in much need of some time off when I read it as well

Toimivaa, vauhdikasta perusjännitystä. Harmi kun sarjan suomentaminen jäi kesken, vauhdikkaille poikien jännäreille olisi tilausta.
So much fun to be back in the world of Alex Rider! I'd forgotten how good Horowitz is at writing suspense and action, I've missed reading his books! A bit of a mixed bag as it always is with short story collections, but my favourites were Alex in Afghanistan, Spy trap and Christmas at Gunpoint.
