Adam and I read this book with the kids and WE really liked it. It took a bit for the kids to get into it, but as the story picked up and they got used to the old-fashioned language they loved it.

I'm so glad I finally read this. Read to the newly 7 yo. She loved it, though parts were scary for her. There was a lot that was incomprehensible to her. References I couldn't even begin to explain (it's a bit dated in its writing style). But she didn't seem to care.

I did enjoy the movie growing up, so I decided to give this book a try. The book had some dark, and sad moments throughout it. I didn't care much for Peter as a character (very selfish), and Tinkerbell's language caught me off guard. However, I did like the whimiscal writing of J.M. Barrie. My husband and I read outloud to eachother and it was enjoyable that way. Though it wasn't one of my favorite reads, I am glad that I read it.

This is literally one of my favorite stories of all time. I've seen movies and stuff but it was my first time reading the book and it's way better than what I imagined. I didn't like for Wendy very much, but I certainly do now. Anyways, this was amazing and I'm in tears.

“Peter was not quite like other boys; but he was afraid at last. A tremour ran through him, like a shudder passing over the sea; but on the sea one shudder follows another till there are hundreds of them, and Peter felt just the one. Next moment he was standing erect on the rock again, with that smile on his face and a drum beating within him. It was saying, ‘To die will be an awfully big adventure.’”

”’Long ago,’ he said, ’I thought like you that my mother would always keep the window open for me; so I stayed away for moons and moons and moons, and then flew back; but the window was barred, for mother had forgotten all about me, and there was another little boy sleeping in my bed.’”

I've only watched the movie so of course the book was much darker than I was prepared for. Peter Pan kinda got on my nerves sometimes (lol) and the narrator was tough to get used to but overall it was a good book.

I was in the mood for children literature classic book :)

I grew up watching Disney's version of Peter Pan and fell in love with the 2003 Peter Pan movie, but had never read the book. Surprisingly, both movies (from what I remember) actually did a good job of capturing the vibe of the book. However, I think the book version of Peter annoyed me more than in the movies. I also found the writing a little challenging at times. Overall, the book was just OK but still worth reading this classic story.
