3⭐️ the illustrations in this were so good and I did like the story even though it was a bit too weird at times. Loved the magic but it’s difficult to see past the racism so couldn’t fully enjoy it.

Love Love Love this book.
Its always been my favorite story. Romance, adventure, exciting and lovely. I identify with Wendy Darling with my entire being.

A delightful tale for the young and young at heart. Adapted and retold many times in film and other books, the story of Peter Pan is one that will live in our hearts forever. If you've enjoyed any of the adaptations, I highly encourage you to go back to the source and read the original.

Loved this story growing up, but this is my first time reading the original book! Overall, I really enjoyed it. I was surprised how much I didn’t like Peter — he is much more endearing in the movie adaptations I grew up with than in the novel.

Oh my goodness! I enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would. It is miles beyond the Disney version. I wish I could go back in time and read or have this read to me as a kid... or read it to my own kid! I loved every minute of it!

If you are only familiar with the Disney version, hold on to your hat. The original Peter Pan is darker, his land is fiercer, and his Captain Hook is having a midlife crisis. This annotated version includes other writing by Barrie to complement the most famous story, as well as extensive notes on the production history of the play, the relationships of Barrie to the children who inspired the story, and discussion of adaptations. It's all bound in a handsome dark green cover with gold highlights. It's great!

Fun to read the original work which sparked the cartoon movie we all grew up with, although I don't personally think that modern children would enjoy reading this book. It's more for adults who are child-at-heart adults.
