A well needed risk that dares to move the setting out of droon and does so without losing its charm. Reviving a series that had begun to stagnate into episodic trudges.

Unlike others where the plot doesn't really play into the big picture, this book is clearly mostly plot. This is definitely not the book to read if you're reading them out of order. I've always loved the inventiveness of this series. I enjoy this idea of musical gypsy frogs that move their hidden campsite to a different place every night. These books are generally super creative and I love it.

This book was most intriguing, the two worlds met in broad daylight. Fortunately everything worked out, though I can't help wondering who Sparr is working for.
