Another quality X-Factor book by Peter David. The story is humorous, but action packed. The characters are charming, but deeply flawed. The art is amazing, but... well, it's amazing. (Those costumes, though!)
Gambit is freaking adorable... Kitties! The interaction between Quicksilver and Polaris... Annoying older brother much? Warlock and Danger? ♡♡♡
Loved the whole book. It's a real shame the team's time was so limited (only 20 issues), but all good things must come to an end. Can't wait to read the next two graphic novels.
Onto the next!

How very disappointing. I loved the Madrox X-Factor and hoped this would be a new spin on it. But I can't find a character to identify with, and as these are more obscure X-characters I'm not familiar with any of their back stories.
The art is in a messy, scratchy style which makes it unclear what is happening.
I didn't finish it, which I was really surprised as I normally Iove Peter David's work.

It's nice to dip my toes back into the x-universe and this is a great way to do it. A cooperate owned super team. Not a new idea but well done so far. Looking forward to the next graphic novel.

adventurous
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? Yes
- Diverse cast of characters? Yes
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

This has a great line-up for a team book, a mix-and-match of some of the most difficult mutants to get along with in the Marvel Universe. You have Polaris as the leader (still maybe a little evil), her half-brother Quicksilver (douchecanoe extraordinaire and estranged from the Avengers), Gambit (bizarrely the most emotionally-stable member of the team despite his descent into crazy cat lady town), Danger (the amnesiac lady-faced robot version of Xavier's Danger Room), Cypher (suicidal and hiding it), and Warlock (okay, he's doing fine for the most part but also might be a little evil). Add in their corporate sponsor--totally not evil, you guys--and this was one of the best first issues for a new team that I've read in a while.

This is extremely biased because I love Lorna, Pietro, And Gambit. I haven't read many other x-men comics yet but you don't need much background on other comic arcs and things like that which I like.

Really I rate Gambit & his cats 5 stars and everything else 3 stars.
One day I hope Marvel will meet the demand for a comic that strictly follows the adventures of Gambit and his cats. Until then, there's this I guess.

Honestly, perfect. Pietro is a star. Gambit is my favourite forever. Polaris, wonderful.
