I was so excited to learn there were two more books in this interesting universe I fell in love with. It was a pleasure to so Lisle challenge themselves by writing so many different perspectives and it really feels so satisfying when they tie in together in ways I never could expect.

Honestly, there wasn't a single part of this book I felt was predictable or boring, it was a page-turner and kept my interest so intently. I can't wait to read the final book in the trilogy and really see how the story wraps up.

If I must provide any critique at all it seems certain storylines, such as the Vha'attaye, were simply drawn out to provide character development. This is fine and makes sense for the story but it definitely took a back seat and was conveniently brought to the front when necessary.
