So I really wasn’t a fan of the first in this series. I didn’t feel like there was enough good dialogue between the characters. I am glad I took a chance because this was a lot better. Of course I knew I would like Zack’s story. I also recently read the hello and goodbye books so I was already in the setting. I might need to go back and read book two. This isn’t my favorite series or anything but this read was sweet enough and I love the Vermont orchard setting. Unfortunately I feel like none of Bowen’s books can live up to Him and Us which are a couple of my favorite romance books out there, but i will continue to give this series a go. As for the story, I enjoyed it for the most part, the characters were sweet and it flowed ok.

Zach was as cute as I pictured him and I loved Lark. With all her issues. She is a great character and so well written!

Zach is a sweetheart. Lark is awesome. I love them together and their chemistry was hot. I really, REALLY enjoyed it, but not as much as I did Steadfast (book 2 in the True North series).

Here's my ranking of the books:
1. Steadfast (5/5 stars)
2. Keepsake (4/5 stars)
3. Bittersweet (3.5/5 stars)

Sarina Bowen killed it with her True North series--after reading all three of the books in the series she's now on my auto-buy list. I have to catch up on her backlist!

I mean, I'm biased to this one because there was so much Dartmouth in this one, but I also just found their story so sweet.
