Climate Change? I just can't believe it - that one can still deny its existence

Maybe the most important book I've ever read

If you don’t already find climate crisis is real, David Wallace-Wells is gonna make damn sure you do by the end of this book.

this is hard to rate. its filled with doomsday information so its very hard to read and not be emotionally affected. it tells a similar story as the Netflix documentary "Break Boundaries: The Science of Our Planet" , so perhaps watch that if you don't want the full weight the book to land on you. It is well-written though, and aside from some parts that get a bit statistic-heavy, the flow of the writing does carry you along smoothly. The overall message of the book is that, yes, we are in a serious situation, but we have what we need to take action and make a notable impact on the outcome. the outcome is not inevitable, in fact most of the uncertainty in the climate model predictions is due to the uncertainty of how humanity will react. we determine where on the best case v worst case scenario spectrum life on Earth will land. so in that way the book hopes to inspire hope and action. but it can be hard for someone to swallow after having to read such horrific potential futures we are facing. Some of the latter chapters pose interesting existential issues I hadn't contemplated very much, so those were perhaps most new and interesting to me.

Having being recommend this book by Dr Simon Clark (https://www.youtube.com/user/SimonOxfPhys ), this was a depressing, alarming and must-read for anyone and everyone living today. The age of the Anthropocene is what will determine the future of our species and the future of our planet

it is easier to imagine an end to the world than an end to capitalism, etc.
