Another kinda pick for Children's Book Week. This is a fun rhyming read, the kids thought it was hilarious, (probably because I said the word bum). We also had a discussion about what a piranhas was, what it ate, and it was the perfect time as the kids had been learning about South America, Rio & the Olympics.
Not my favourite, but the reveal of the bum to the kids is just classic.
Boys often love this book I've found. Lots of questions about Piranhas and where you find them, what they do etc. Provides lots of laughs and repetition.
Very funny and silly, with some surprisingly good piranha facts in it and lots of good opportunities to extend the vocabulary past the named fruits and into a wide range of fruits and vegetables.
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time! Simple silly fun. I can't wait to read this for a storytime.
