The audiobook was not necessarily a favorable impression, so I will revisit my review after I read the book.

While I can certainly enjoy a good romance, this was anything but. The writing style was uninteresting and, when I realized there was going to be a cheating subplot, I lost any interest I had in finishing the book. There's nothing romantic about cheating.
This is definitely one I will be thinking of for a while. The kind of book that you reread as you get older.
It’s pretty short, but it was hard for me to pick up. If it wasn’t for that I probably would’ve given it 5 stars. I thought it was a little predictable. However, I was very surprised that it ended with them old in the nursing home, but I absolutely enjoyed it more than i expected.

Best love story ever, way better than the movie if that's possible; it's just more detailed. I'll never grow out of this one, it really hits home.
My point of view (spoiler alert)
It was so simple to read this novel, it took me about 7 hours to finish it, I fall in “swans and storms” Chapter I think this chapter showed how much Noah and Allie love each other.
I loved the movie more than the book, it was the first time I think that a movie is better than a book.
Quote, I loved the most “and though you may call me a dreamer or fool or any other thing, I believe that anything is possible”.
I recommend you to read this story only if there isn’t a better book to read.

Boy, was I late to this party.
When everyone and their grandmother talked about The Notebook—both movie and book—and how great it is, I never understood it. Every time people look for romance, someone always recommends The Notebook, and I doubted them.
But I don’t anymore, because I finally read it and I greatly enjoy it. This book is simply a love story between Allie and Noah, how they fell in love at age 17, but couldn’t be together because their circumstances. How they later reunite around 14 years later when Allie is already engaged to a lawyer. This event restarts the feelings they had from years ago, probably the feelings that have never gone away. There’s quite a twist in the book that I don’t really want share, but it’s my favorite part.
This is a fairly short and light book to read. It’s heartwarming and sad at the same time. The way Sparks describes Allie and Noah is intriguing, although done in a very simple way. I could feel what they are feeling when I was reading the book. Truly an enjoyable book.

A heartbreaking story, but I guess my expectations were so high up in the clouds that I couldn't fully enjoy it. If this had been a more unknown book/story, I would've started with lower expectations and given it a higher rating, no doubt.

This book is a classic and it was about time I read it. I fell in love with the movie years ago, and I think it’s pretty good adaptation of the book. I loved listening to it! -one star because of how long some of the chapters were.
