This was so delightful. The author describes this as a grown-up fairytale and that is the perfect description of this story. It has excellent world-building, found family components, an epic adventure, cozy fantasy vibes, and elements of dad humor. The author's note at the end of the book was also so delightful. It reminded me of a mix between Pirates of the Caribbean and the Princess Bride. I can't wait to reread this someday.
