I really enjoyed this story, also loved how the birds found love like the main characters. Cute parallel to add to the plot.

Pros:
I love the way the author builds a complete picture of a character in roughly a chapter or less. It is a skill not everyone has and I think it is used to beautiful effect.
I had to switch from print to audio for part of this book and I have to say it was fairly seamless. The narrators added emotion without it feeling false or forced but maintained the pace very well. I can say I would happily recommend either format without pause or question.

While I understand where the problem stemmed from I will always hate miscommunication and what feels like overreaction but that could be oversensitivity on my part.

I LOVED this so much honestly. The sweet Scottish man, who loves his puffin, a bookstore with a secret and a holiday competition left me giggling and kicking my feet!!
