Gah, I just adore this series by Tricia O’Malley. Small town Scotland with a bit of magic? You can’t go wrong. It’s always so sweet and swoony and heartwarming in the best way- and add in a little festive holiday fun and the best bookstore and this one charmed me completely! Highland Hearts Holiday Bookshop is such a cozy and adorable holiday read- with plenty of heart and tons of fun magical shenanigans. It’s such a wonderful Christmas treat.
There is witty banter, plenty of magic (in the form of ghosts and magical match making too!), PUFFINS!, the most idyllic Scottish small town, and of course the most sincere and heartfelt romance between Rosie and Alexander. Tricia’s characters are always so wonderfully likable, and Rosie and Alexander might be too of my favorites. Alexandar is that perfect nexus of awkward and grumpy, but also so considerate and sweet. And Rosie is a lovable ball of sunshine and sincerity, a sweet and gentle soul that you just adore from first meeting her. Their chemistry is adorable and gives all those cozy, warm fuzzies. And with a fun and laughter-inducing secondary secondary cast, there’s plenty of Scottish smalltown shenanigans afoot. Such a sweet and heart filling story!
And thank you so much for this adorable package! This cover that I love so much, the heart key chain and the secret Santa bookmark, and the PUFFIN stickers! I can’t with my love of the puffins.
