✨ Review: Highland Hearts Holiday Bookshop by Tricia O'Malley ✨
This was such a charming holiday romance that gave me all the cozy, magical vibes I could ask for! The story follows Rosie, an American who unexpectedly inherits a magical bookstore nestled in a small Scottish town. Not only does the shop have a mind of its own (and a knack for matchmaking based on favorite books!), but it also leads her straight into the path of Alexander—a swoony Scotsman with a soft spot for puffins. Yes, puffins. 🐧❤️
Rosie was such a likable main character—smart, curious, and willing to take a chance on a new life. I adored the banter and slow-burn chemistry between her and Alexander. Their romance felt sweet, sincere, and full of those little magical holiday moments I crave in a festive read.
The concept of a bookshop that guides people to their true love based on their favorite stories? Absolute perfection for book lovers! 📚✨
I listened to the audiobook and loved the dual narration—it really brought both Rosie and Alexander’s voices to life and added an extra layer of charm to the story.
If you're looking for a cozy, magical holiday read with a bit of whimsy, a lot of heart, and just enough puffin love to make you smile—this one's for you.

I absolutely loved this story, I want to go on that vacation in Scotland where you stay above a bookstore, in return for running the bookstore and get to know all of the locals that frequent the shop.
Rosie finds herself now single, unemployed and in a very small village in Scotland, inside a bookstore that she inherited from her Aunt.
She finds herself utterly confused that she has a non-stop train of customers in the bookstore, when she’s literally just arrived and not even open.
I seriously recommend you reading this story, you’ll fall in love with this funny, heartwarming village with the Book Bitches, the Puffin, Alex and her Aunt’s ghost communicating with her via music.
I absolutely loved it all
