I absolutely, puffin loved this book! 

This one is a treasure. It had me giggling,  laughing and snorting. 

A handsome guy in a kilt with that fabulous Scottish accent? Yum! A cozy little village,  a bookshop, a little magic, some puffins and lots of laughter and love.  

The book b*tches were fantastic bunch. The banter was top-notch. Actually, I loved every single character, the entire plot...just everything. 

Tattie, er Captain Kidd, fell in love with that little guy too. 

Just blindly picked this book for something different from my usual dark, taboo, Mafia, monster, etc reads and this hit the spot. So if you need a palete cleanser, definitely try Highland Hearts Holiday Book Shop!

I absolutely adore this book. It was a perfect fluffy romance! I found myself desperately rooting for the two main characters to end up together, and I was very pleased with their happily ever after. Also, the ensemble side characters were excellent and definitely added depth and heart to the story. The romantic subplot with the puffins was adorable! My one critique of the book was the dramatic overreaction to the miscommunication adding unnecessary third act drama to an otherwise lovely story. I really think that both of these people had grown enough to not have a dramatic stormount moment. Overall, I really loved this story and the setting in rural Scotland added to it. I am excited to read more romance books by this author!

Cute little rom-com. Gotta love a magickal haunted Scottish bookstore! And even though the "awkward girl inherits a Scottish bookstore from a long lost relative and falls in love with the first man she meets (with a 6 pack of course!) after arriving in town" trope was so predictable that it'  silly, I'm still down for it. The miscommunication trope was annoying as usual with these types of books but I'm giving it 4 stars anyway because the characters were lovable, the banter and puns were fun, the Book Bitches (who I've met in other books) were a hoot, and the puffins were adorable!
