The beginning was a bit difficult to sink into, but once I sunk into Flint and Septemper's emotion. This book had me nearly sobbing at my desk at work. This book was so beautiful and to show how grief can affect all it touches. I definitely recommend this book if you need an emotional purge and a good cry.

Setting: Pennsylvania
Rep: queer side character(s)
I hadn't heard anything about this book until I spotted it in the buy one get one half price section at Waterstones and I got it on a whim, and it turned out to be quite a touching coming-of-age story with a dose of romance, a dash of sci-fi, a sprinkle of hope and a splash of emotion. I read it in one sitting as it has short chapters (my favourite) and I found the half-life plot to be very compelling. As far as scientific accuracy goes, I can't say as I am not scientifically minded but I'd say this is one of those where you have to suspend belief while you read. I also appreciated the message of the end of the book! By the nature of the plot, you know from the offset that it can only go one of two ways but I was still invested to see where it would end up.
