This is a different read filled with action, adventure and drama. This is an easy read that has an interesting plot and intriguing characters. This was little slow in the beginning for me, but overall a great read. I look forward to reading more of L. D Wosar's work.

I enjoyed this book! I found myself wanted to continue reading so I knew what was happening. I smiled a lot and even laughed in a few places. There were a few errors in the copy that I got (ARC) but nothing that was off putting.

This wasn’t for me, unfortunately. I know this will be hard for the author to hear, but this book just isn’t quite there yet.

Without being too harsh, this book needs a full developmental edit, or at least, honest feedback from betas who read in the steampunk romance genre, followed by a round of line editing from an experienced editor and then a relaunch. An example is the first paragraph, where there are two instances of incorrect semicolon use. An experienced line editor would have picked these up, along with head hopping, a few speech tag mistakes, and overuse of certain phrases (ie. characters rolling their eyes multiple times in one scene).

A developmental editor or experienced betas would also assist with pacing, that the story could begin at chapter three, characterisation, unclear scene motivation, loss of tension in action scenes.

The head-hopping within scenes was particularly jarring and didn’t work for me at all.

In all, there are some great ideas and action here, it just needs more work.

I received an ARC copy of this from the author in return for an honest review.

This was a strong start to this exciting adventure series, which I got to enjoy via Audible. Stevie turns from a life of pain to a life of service--even if that service happens to be illegal, channeling the spirit of Robin Hood but with her own panache. When her antics draw the attention of the local lawman, she's besieged by bounty hunting warlocks, never knowing her fate is entwined with these powerful and dangerous men. Definitely recommend experiencing Hood of Sedna on audio to get the added performance of an excellent narrator who brings the characters to life!

I really enjoyed this book! It was full of twists and turns, which I really appreciate in a novel.

I loved the take on the Robin Hood classic! I originally wasn’t sure about it, but I was sold in the end!

Highly recommend!
