Well this book was phenomenal. It was terribly sad but very moving and powerful. The love between the two characters is just beautiful. The quotes were beautiful and this book was just incredible. It leaves me speechless. The hardest part which made me cry was reading about Augustus dying. For the longest time I though Hazel was going to die but Augustus just went out of the blue. This was a sad and breathtaking book and Gus will always have a special place in my heart.
i tried reading tfios back in the day, but it did not connect with me like i wanted to. maybe because i have not experienced—or acknowledged—love and loss the way i do now. maybe because i have not been loved the way gus loves hazel and how hazel loves gus. i have now, for both of those statements or just one. and it sure is a privilege to feel the weight of love and loss.

Yes, it did. I read it in a day, and this book managed to elevate me to my highest highs and crush me into being depressed, then slightly lifted me up to normal level at the end. Slightly. My ache was less ache-y. Since I cannot adequately describe the experience of The Fault in Our Stars, let me explain in a series of photographs:
You know what, I have to stop there. Reducing it to pictures is impossible, because it was much more. The only other picture I can put is how I felt at the end.
I know it looks cheesy (The picture I mean, not the book), but it is true. I recommend the book to everybody. Seriously, go and buy it (if you don't mind stories that make you cry). If it is on your bookshelf and you haven't touched it, I can say (as one of the aforementioned), GO READ IT!!!!
