This series is actually quite good! I mean it’s batshit cause it’s mafia and my disbelief is suspended to another realm but I’m enjoying them for the wild romp that they are! They’re well written, the plots are actually quite engaging and the characters understand the assignment. Pure ridiculous escapism, please and thank you.

Special thanks to Candi Kane PR and Mila Finelli for this ARC.
This series gets better and better.
I was very excited for Enzo and Gia…and they didn’t disappoint.
If you haven’t read Mafia Mistress/Mafia Darling, I highly recommend you do prior to reading Mafia Madman. Specifically Mafia Darling, as you get an integral piece of Enzo’s backstory that deeply affects him in this book.
There is nothing better than a forced proximity trope in mafia romance. Particularly on a yacht. Mamma mia! This book was spicy and delivered big ‘touch her and you die’ vibes. Enzo was out for revenge against Fausto for past events that have now forced him go into hiding. What better way to do that…than kidnap Fausto’s sister in law. Gia was a fighter, which led to some explosive chemistry. Throw in some primal play? Chef’s kiss!
This book also had true moments of vulnerability and emotion….as a Mafia Don falls head over fist for a woman he swore was just a revenge tactic. Loved every single second of this. Mila Finelli’s writing flows so smoothly for me. It’s highly addicting. I feel all the feels while playing in her mafia world. The Italian dirty talk is a 10/10. Looking very forward to Giulio’s book!

This was certainly a fun read, if nothing else. The chemistry between Enzo and Gia was almost palpable and this is a very hot and steamy book. I liked the dynamic between Enzo and Gia; I liked that they were genuinely cold and calculating and dangerous, particularly Enzo. He was a very difficult, genuinely dark character, which I thought was interesting and well-done.
I did find parts of the book a bit annoying, though; I liked that Enzo was the way he was but sometimes it wasn’t fun to read, and I couldn’t help but find Gia irritating at times. There were parts that felt repetitive and the pacing was off in parts. I think there was just too much packed into it – I think it would have benefitted from being a duet like the first two books in this series as it began to feel a bit over-packed. The ending also felt too neat; Enzo came to a lot of realisations that felt too sudden, and I don’t think the book set up his deeper feelings very believably.
That said, it’s not a bad book. If you’re wanting something with a critique of mafia romance then this isn’t the one; it’s fairly uncritical and a bit glossy, but it comes close-ish to showing the reality whilst still making the main characters as likable as they can be (mostly!). It’s a slice of steamy fun, it’s not really got much of a plot, and I will say that there were parts of it I thought were very well-done indeed, such as the final scenes on the boat.
Overall though it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me like the first two books in this series did.
Content Notes: Hate-to-love, forced proximity, organised crime.
Warnings:
Other:, age gap , dubious consent , rough sex, use of restraints, spanking / impact play, anal play, breath play / choking during sex, consensual non-consent, Dominant/submissive dynamics, primal play, OW scene , infidelity / cheating , widow MC..

Couldn't get on with this third book in the series. Gia didn't have a personality aside from snark. Enzo had a great character story, and I liked his motivations etc. But it was just too repetitive. Round and round on him going to see Gia, she's snarky, he's attracted, he gets grumpy, he leaves.
I read the first two books in a day each because they're easy enough to get theiugh but I found myself reading a page of this one and then putting it back down.

I got sidetracked once again. I LOVE fantasy, but there's just something about mafia dark romances that makes it impossible not to read them.
Wanna know what made me drop my current read and just read this book in one sitting? Someone said: "he built a cage specially for her to stay when he kidnaps her".
I'm easy to play. I swear, I could be kidnapped very easily if only my captors dangled a book in front of me and said that.
Mafia Madman is book 3 in The kings of Italy and in order to enjoy this book thoroughly, do read the first two which tell the story of Fausto and Francesca, Gia's older sister and Enzo's death sworn enemy.
This is a book about a man seeking revenge and retaliation against a man that destroyed him. And what is a better way to do that than taking his sister-in-law and break her?
Enzo is filled with hatred. After the events that played out in Mafia Darling, Enzo lost everything, so he rebuilt himself and his empire and plotted how to best hit Fausto. imagine his surprise and delight when Gia is handed to him on a silver platter?
Gia is a woman that knows what she wants. She wants to be a designer and she is working in Milan when she "bumps" into him. She tries to resist his charms but eventually she falls for his easy charm, making herself the perfect target to his plans.
I loved this book way more than the first two. Gia is no doormat, she is feisty and sassy. She knows which assets she carries and she is not afraid to use them to her advantage. She is also not an innocent flower. She enjoys the pleasures of the flesh and she is not shy to indulge in it. Gia is honestly one of my favorite female leads now.
I loved seeing Enzo trying to resist Gia but in the end he couldn't. His desire for her and his need for revenge constantly battled. It was satisfying to see him fall for Gia.
The steam is this book was off the charts and there were quite a few.
As for everything else, I'll let everyone find it for themselves.

Mafia Madman is the third book in The Kings of Italy series, and can be read as a standalone but it is an interconnected series so things from previous book will definitely be here in this book as well and it is my recommendation that you readers should read the previous books as well. As always, this book might contain themes that might be triggering for some readers so do proceed with caution.
Mafia Madman revolves around Enzo (the man who we all have met in the previous two books) and Gia who is Francessa's sister. We get to know more about Enzo who was deemed to be a villain, but as we all know, that villains have love story too and villains make the best main characters, I was very excited about Enzo's story so when I finally read this, I was ecstatic to say the least.
I love seeing the side of Enzo that hadn't been shown before (for obvious reasons) I love how his vulnerable side is shown and how I make soft spot for him despite what he did in last book, I forgive him because he is a cutie and I am falling for him.
Four years later, when in Milan, Gia is there for her internship and is replacing a model who isn't there, Enzo is there too because obviously he invested in fashion to launder money and he is going to watch that event where Gia is gonna be sauntering down the ramp like a QUEEN. I can't wait for you guys to read this. Enzo recognised Gia RIGHT AWAY, like really who wouldn't and damn, his thoughts
