I literally couldn't stop reading, it was amazing! I also really enjoyed the short chapters.

I can't say I'm 100% I understood what was happening in the end, but I still found the last scene very powerful.

After enjoying James last year, I had to read more Percival Everett and I think I’m becoming a fan. I love how he twists history with humor.

This book’s gruesome storyline, with vivid descriptions of victims, is gripping. Everett’s satirical style critiques systemic racism in the US, blending moments of humor with sadness.

His books make you reflect on the struggles of minorities while showing how those who suffer often find some form of victory. In this case, the oppressive figures face unfortunate endings.

Overall, this was a memorable read I won’t forget!
