This may be my new favorite author. He’s able to write about heavy, dark themes but treat them with humor. His books are well written and fast paced. This is my second book of his after James and I will definitely be adding others to my list.
An audiobook treat. The reader does such a good job at rendering the insults. It suits the book so well and makes it really entertaining. So much so that without the swearing I think the book wouldn’t have been good.
The ending is ok but there is one thing that irks me. Who WHO WHO the fuck locked them I to the freezer? Either I missed sth or it doesn’t make any sense. It must be someone from the kkk side or thereabouts but there was nothing leading to this.
Oh and why the trees? Because of the original lynchings? But…
