With his intelligence, good looks, a cunning, manipulative personality, and a sparkly "kira kira" name, Aqua Hoshino really is reminding me of Light Yagami. The violent goal also adds to it, I suppose.
Volume 1 really gripped me with its plot twist, though this one compared to it isn't nearly as captivating. I hope going forward there's more focus on Aqua's ultimate goal, as that's something that really piqued my interest after the ending of volume 1.
Though the overall story mechanics are different, "Oshi no Ko" reminds me a bit of "Erased". There are similarities, no? Just me?

Wow - JUST WOW!
I must admit that I wasn't in love with the first volume. It felt quite cringy at times, even though the overall story is interesting. With that said, I'm so positively surprised by the second volume. It seems like manga 1 was just a prequel to the "real" story which is an exciting murder mystery. We learned more about Aqua, Ruby & Kana and I love all 3 of them. Them joining this prestigious school with all of those celebrities is super exciting! I'm totally in Love with Oshi no ko right now.

This is just a fun read. I hope it goes into more critique of the industries it is showing and if number 1 is anything to go by I think it will.
It's less creepy this book which is a lot better. And the characters introduced all seem likeable.
I'm looking forward to continuing with the series!
