Such a harrowing story, one that I don't have words for. I'm angry for the kids involved, I'm angry at the kids who perpetuated racist tropes, and I'm floored by the school district's handling of events.

This is an incredibly important book. A must read for teachers and parents. The real life account of a racist social media account and documentation of the fall out on both sides. 8th grade and up due to a little bit of language. Should be a PD book for middle school and high school faculty.

A powerful true story of racism and the impact on young people on both sides of the issue.
I read this book in one weekend off the back of a reading slump. It raises thought-provoking ideas about the devastating impact of social media when used for harm. It explores the issue from a variety of perspectives that keeps you questioning the whole way through.

A must read. This book brings to light all of the effects racist posts on social media have to young minds. It is a true story, based from California. Students created a racist instagram account, that gets discovered by the victims on the account. The story follows the journey of all students involved. It makes you question who should be held accountable and what do we need to change in our world for all people to feel loved and accepted.
If you are a teacher this is a must read!!
