Q: How would you feel if one decision could ruin your whole life?
-
With her dresses too tight, her heels too tall, laughs too loud and eating without decorum, nobody can break Gianna’s facade. Until he comes along.
Most people see a special agent, upholder of the law. Not many know is that he is a hustler, a killer, and ice king in the underworld of New York. Christian always follows his plan.
One eventful winter night connects their lives forever. The hating is mutual at first. Until one starts to fall. For after all, all is fair in love and war.

Again, I read this in like 2 days. That should show you how much I love this series. It would’ve been one day but my eyes protested and wouldn’t let me pull an all nighter. I would’ve happily done that. At first, I wasn’t a fan of this book because it just seemed very placid in comparison to the first one but once you hit the roughly 15-20% mark, it clicks and it all just works and becomes so much more fun. I ended up really loving the characters and wanting happiness for them. Hell, the last chapter and the epilogue made me cry but that could just be from sleep deprivation (someone back me up on the crying thing here) but this series is so good and I will be recommending it to everyone!

Q: Have you read this? What did you think?

It’s been a while since I’ve read any mafia novels… I read The Sweetest Oblivion back when I first began reading again in the fall. After reading The Sweetest Oblivion, almost everyone told me that I needed to read this book. They said it was better than the first, which was surprising to me because I loved the first. But… they were absolutely right. I loved Nico and Elena’s story, but there’s something about Gianna and Christian that just pulls you in. It’s inescapable. It’s also refreshing to see in the Made series that the men are always as invested in the relationships, if not more. I had plans to reread The Sweetest Oblivion soon, and I will probably follow it up with a reread of this one as well.
