This book was so long and the smut to plot ratio was not balanced. Also I think I liked the side characters more than the MCs?? On the plus side the MCs experienced believable conflict and believable growth so that’s a plus for a rom-com.
it was pretty cute even if it seemed a little unrealistic sometimes lol but it kept me entertained.
the one thing i didnt like was the pregnancy in the epilogue after they specifically discussed adoption.. lol the pregnancy felt so random to throw in but whatev ig
I don’t think this book understood what it’s main plot is. It had fun moments, but it dragged because it didn’t feel like there was a main plot moving things along. I wanted more of the conflict with her skate partner, and that felt rushed.
ok so at first the book was decent.. but it got so freaking boring!!! like the plot just evaporated?!? there wasn’t really an interesting story going on at all? idk maybe it’s just personal taste - don’t get me wrong i love romance - but i feel like there needed to be more depth in that area. they got together so early on and the rest of the book was kinda boring. the same thing again and again (iykyk). i don’t recommend really but i do know people that have enjoyed it but it wasn’t for me.

This book was cute but for some reason I just couldn’t get into it - it might’ve just been my mood while reading, but it took me a long time to finish. I liked the main plot line as well as the side plots and characters. Something I think this book was missing was the detailed action you’d expect in a hockey book; similar books I’ve read have included the action and I surprisingly missed it in this one. Also the friendship between Stassie and Lola felt like it was missing something, the author didn’t include many scenes of just the two of them together so we didn’t really get to see the depth of their friendship. Nate is the classic golden retriever boyfriend to Stassie which I always love, and Stassie was cute with her little firey/sassy side. I also thought it was nice to see her develop close friendships with the guys on the team. I liked that this book had an epilogue, it was nice to see them a few years in the future. I’m not sure if I’ll continue with this series or not, I might just need to take a break from romance for a bit before I get back into it.
Ok this book is good, but by the way booktok was hyping it up I was expecting the world.
The banter alone is worth reading though.

This was a cute little love story with some spicy. I feel like it could have been shorter, but still good!
