My second book from Kate Morton and I am convinced that I will love every one of her novels. She has created the perfect historical fiction, centered around familial secrets and a mystery throughout.
This was a book where I felt as if life kept interrupting me everytime I had to put it down. It was comfort at its peak; Morton is a master at crafting a multi-generational story-- an absolute expert at building a climatic tale. I loved this so so much. Her characters are interesting and complex. Ugh, I just don't have the right words to describe how amazing this was.
