Good storyline and characters, action packed and held my attention. Dimmed only by recent reading of Baldacci! Think also I'm going to enjoy the rest of the series more - this is just the start.

Sam Capra and his wife work for the CIA and his wife calls him and tells him to get out of his office seconds before it blows up. From that point on he is trying to find her, his son and stay away from the CIA who believes he set off the bomb. The book has a few twists and truns which makes it an interesting read.

This was an average bourne-type action novel that got me through a long flight across the country. I thought it was predictable, but enjoyed it overall. A fast paced summer read, I would have preferred a beach to read it on.

Not the best spy novel I've ever read. A bit slow in the middle.

Good start, but then it becomes less and less credible. Still, fun to read.

A well crafted action packed thriller!!! While there were moments I wondered “could this have been trimmed by about 50 pages?”, I still enjoyed myself across the board!! The world set up in this first novel is intriguing, dangerous, and left with enough cliffhangers to make me anxious to get hands on the next in the series!

This was the first book I've read by Jeff Abbott. There wasn't a particular reason I chose it, I just felt like grabbing one more book before leaving the library. It sat around for a week or two before I picked it up and I was surprised at how great it was - I'm going through a "Burn Notice" watching kick, and this book fell into the same kind of genre. I thought the writing was good, the intrigue was there, and Sam Capra is an affable character. Looking forward to reading #2!

Reread 7/8/17. Picked it up so I could finish the Capra series. I remembered most of the main plot points but still a pretty solid read.

This was an average book. It is easy to read and entertaining. There is lots of action and short chapters that make it easy to get sucked in to the story. The end does leave a big cliffhanger, so be prepared to read multiple books if you want all your questions answered.
