Whewwww okay. I need a minute to calm down after listening to this. Not only did Blanca, Jack, and Sean do an incredible job bring Avanne’s writing to life, but they truly elevated an already great story into a whole experience.

I am still looking for the words to describe how much I loved this. There are definitely trigger warnings, so please check those out before diving in, but this is probably my favorite omegaverse that I have ever read. The plot and suspense were fantastic, without even getting into the spicy scenes. Being described as a battle pixie is now a life goal, not gonna lie. And the way this ended had me digging through luggage for the next one that I had already packed for a trip so I could get started on the next one. Overall, I just couldn’t get enough of this one!

Talia is from the most prestigious line that only produces omegas and alphas. Except for her. She never went into heat, and eventually registered as a beta. She has been kicked from pack to pack after refusing to submit to alphas that she doesn’t see as worthy. This pack is her last chance, and it is only because her mom called in favors to try to get one more placement. She is there to help their Omega, and goes in and submits only to him, ignoring the four large hulking alphas. One mistake and she is gone and the alphas are doing everything they can to bait her into snapping. But she feels a pull to their omega and won’t give that up for anything.

Hands down one of the best Omega-verse I have ever read. This is such a different story ass they are all human and not shifters but it just hit. I binged this in one night I could not stop. This is definitely a dark read a I suggest that you check your triggers. Talia is a force of her own and I’m diving straight into the next one.

Devon is an irredeemable POS.
Talia is a sickeningly perfect, saint-like doormat.
Jasper is a spoiled brat with the only chemistry being "they're just drawn to each other".
None of the men have definable personalities/voices/characteristics - everyone blurs together (except Devon the raging a-hole).
There is a complete and utter failure in the management of SA.
And finally, this author basically copied Pack Darling. Badly.

So I teetered on truly giving this book 5 stars. If anything I would say it’s more of a 4.5. The reason I take off half a star is because the plot of this book is very similar to the plot of the Pack Darling books with the difference being that in this book the FMC is a beta and in that book the FMC is an omega that hasn’t perfumed or gone into heat yet. Aside from that the plot is very similar I mean big parts of the plot are similar being (without giving away too many spoilers) the unwanted FMC going to an all male pack with a male omega and none of the alphas or the omega want her there and passive aggressively try to get her to leave. But the FMC “saves” the male omega and they start to bond (alphas still don’t really trust the FMC especially the head alpha) but something traumatic happens and the MMCs are slow to realize their mistakes ends on a cliff hanger of “will it be to late?”.

Now even though The plot of this book was similar to another book, I absolutely enjoyed the storyline of that book. Which honestly made it easy for me to enjoy this book I love the way the author wrote this book giving different perspectives. There were definite moments that put me in my feels and had me shedding a few tears for the FMC. But she was a very strong FMC given everything that it happened to her and so I love when the FMC stays strong and like holds to her convictions for the most part throughout a book. I am looking forward to part two of this which again is why I ranked it as a 4.5 because it is still a good book!

A few typos but overall an engaging read

Thalia is a beta with a bad attitude. She has been sent to the saint clair pack as a last resort and that has taken favors being called in by her influential mother. Thalia has burned every pack bridge and will soon end up alone and packless if she can't make this one stick.

I absolutely love Thalia and Jasper's relationship and the way Jasper's alphas treated her was delightfully enraging.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so conflicted about a book. I’m sick to my stomach after the ending. I like Talia, but she just breaks my fucking heart. She deserves love and every ounce of happiness, but her relationship with Jasper feels so painfully one sided. She loves him so thoroughly, but he comes off as so fucking selfish and not as devoted to her as she is to him, in my opinion. I mostly feel neural about Kaleb, Trent and Nathan, but I fucking despise Devon. I’m truly upset.
