The book contains a collection of ten letters, written between February 1903 and December 1908 from the poet Rainer Maria Rilke to Franz Kappus. I did find it difficult to read, considering that English is not my first language and the translation contained beautiful, yet complicated words. It got much more lively when I started to listen to Nolan's audiobook on YouTube.
“How can we forget those ancient myths found at the beginnings of all peoples? The myths about the dragons who at the last moment turn into princesses?”
I wish I had read this book earlier. It would've comforted me on the difficult periods I passed through. On the sleepless nights, it would've felt like a hug. I did enjoy the read. It left me with many beautiful quotes about finding comfort in my solitude and in the world.
“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses, only waiting for the day when they will see us handsome and brave? Perhaps everything terrifying is deep down a helpless thing that needs our help.”

Desde que lo comencé a leer habré leído estas cartas muchas veces. Son una suerte de guía y definitivamente son uno de los mejores compañeros que podré tener. Rilke es una voz muy importante para mí desde entonces.
