OMG I loved it! I have been looking forward to reading Sealed with a Curse ever since I read Cecy Robson Novella The Weird Girls. I enjoyed her writing so much. From the moment I opened the book I was drawn into her world and could not put it down. So much action, adventure and romance blooming.

I enjoy each of the Wird sisters. They all have unique abilities and personalities that add to the story. I just loved Celia in this book. Her funny reportorial kept me laughing throughout the book, she is strong, and lonely, but does not let that loneliness stop her from doing what must be done.

Being introduced to the the hunky wolf Aric was great! I loved the connection you see growing between Celia and Aric as well as the other sisters getting set up with their hunky wolves.

This story has everything a paranormal romance book should have; lots of action, the sisters, love, flirts, smoking hot men and your favorite paranormal beings, but most important a lot of fun!

This was a fun and light, well I'd sayd UFR :)

Sure there was the triangle that was so beyond PNR. I mean vampire and wolf, duh. But hey sure it's old school but it works. It's not Celia's fault that a vampire master lusts after her (I am sure her blood is very delish). And not her fault that she sees a hot alpha wolf and starts to lust after him and he her. Yes Aric is one sexy wolf.

The sisters were fun and they might just find love here. I liked them all. They are all weird too, not really human, but not supernatural either. I do wonder about that, sure we got the explanation but still...cool!

The men, mm I did like Misha the vampire. Aric the werewolf was so alpha and it could have annoyed me, but I guess I am in the mood for alpha today.

The ending was no cliffie but hey I still want more at once. I need to see what happens to them all.

I hope book 2 will be great too!

This book was really quite action packed. It was full of kick ass female leads who show some major vampire evil who's boss. There are very few steamy scenes and it is very pg rated but it's still a good read!

I really don't know how I feel about this one. And it's not as though I dislike it, I quite liked it actually, but there were some parts that just didn't sit right with me. This at times made me just want to step away from it and not come back. Maybe where it was using the whole vamps are the worst card, or where Celia was so pathetic at times, that it just detracted from the value of the whole.

Yeah. I really don't know if I'd recommend this.

Overall it was a good book. The Wird sisters are total kickass. The protagonist Celia is someone we come to love easily.I just did'nt like the way she behaved every time Aric came around.Iam not sure whether I should read the second book or not cause I've heard that Aric breaks her heart.Does'nt this situation about the pure blood thing sound just like the one with Lucas in the Shadowfalls series??

his was another book I heard about on the DBSA podcast and I just had to read it. I spent about six weeks checking the library catalog for it and finally I was rewarded. I'm not sure why things are taking so long to show up at the library but it is starting to get to the point of two months going by before non-bestsellers show up. Darn you James Patterson!

I'm a huge fan of paranormal romances especially when the story doesn't get too complicated. A lot of paranormal romances have really complicated mythology involved and after about thirty pages of it I zone out. I end up getting 3/4 of the way through and have to keep turning back to check something because I missed it the first time. This was not one of those books.

I did not read the prequel novella but I think you can skip it and still understand the series. Celia is sort of a combo bad-ass were-tiger (not a were though, according to her) and part low self-esteem innocent. She is a bad-ass for the most part but her romantic history is atrocious. I find it strange but then she sort of has a weird instant-soulmate connection with Aric so maybe that way why.

When Ms. Robson introduced the mating/soulmate bond thing (not confirmed by Aric or Celia by the way) I instantly remembered J.R. Ward's "Dark Lover". In that one the hero tells the heroine her sex drive was nil because she was becoming a vampire and then she got all hot and bothered over him (convenient much?). Celia had a similar reaction to Aric and I thought she was going to jump him in the middle of the park when they first met.

I loved the sisters as a whole, each with their own abilities, and how they interacted with each other. I always love stories with strong female and male relationships. It seems so unrealistic to me when the hero and heroine basically exist in a vacuum other than a rival for conflict. On the other hand I understand not everyone has close friends so I get it. It just makes the story more fun.

I was a little disappointed when I read this to discover all the girls immediately hooking-up with werewolves. I thought this series was going to approach each sister in a different book but from what I can see on Ms. Robson's website, each book will feature Celia with the sisters as background characters. I'm a tad disappointed but the book itself made up for it.

I enjoyed the low-key mythology throughout the book where vampires were made and drew power from their master. Their master in turn could draw power/magic from the natural magic surrounding them. It seemed a nice touch to give them weaknesses that were plausible but at the same time it gave them a lot of strength. At the same time the werewolves were organized but the reader was not lost in power struggles between the pack. Everything was neatly explained but enough was left open to allow the reader to ask questions for future books.

The romance made me all gooey too! Aric and Celia were just super-sexy although the sex was missing while they got their relationship in order. Aric was totally sexy and alpha but he respected Celia and recognized her own strengths. He tried to protect her constantly but accepted she was not going to just fall in line at the snap of his fingers. In turn she respected his needs and desires while ultimately doing what she thought was right.

One negative comment about the book was the conflict. Some chick in the werewolf pack decided she wanted Aric and lied about a fake baby. At the same time a vampire master decided he wanted Celia for pretty much no reason. It was sort of inconvenient to have conflicts crop up that seemed out of place. There was little explanation for the vampire's obsession so I'm hoping to see that explained in later books.

I truly enjoyed this well-written, easy-paced adventure into the world of the Wird Girls. The sisters are funny and charming without being annoying. Hot males in their lives are protective, but not in the annoying uber-alpha-macho way that has me cringing. So many first-in-the series novels can be clunky with world building, but Cecy Robson does it flawlessly without ramming it down our throats. I would easily rate this work on the same level as Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews and Kelley Armstrong. One reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that although I enjoy a little mystery, I feel that the sisters' backstory was still too vague for me to appreciate who they are. Though, maybe that just makes me want to dive into the next one....

I'm honestly undecided with whether to rate this as a 2 or 3 star read. This is your most standard paranormal romance, with a vampire/werewolf love triangle (though it's fairly evident the vampire never stood a chance, which is disappointing because I actually prefer Misha). While I enjoyed the sisters relationship and feel like it's unique to have such a large, already established family in this genre that seems to favour loners, it wasn't enough for me to actually enjoy it.

The cast of characters is ambitious here, with different kinds of were-beings, witches, vampires, and humans. There were moments that I really enjoyed, like Tom pretending that Celia and Misha were bonded (hilarious spin on that trope!), but unfortunately people were too similar to one another. For whatever reason, other than Emme, I kept mixing up the two other sisters. All I can really remember is one uses "dude" a lot (and this is literally mentioned as one of her defining characteristics) and the other one is older and responsible like Celia. In addition, there was a weird club scene where three of the sisters meet their future boyfriends, and they all immediately hookup. These guys are all pretty much the same (though we do get some POC representation? Somewhat?) with not much differentiating them nor any particular reason why they're all so ready to jump into relationships other than that the Wird sisters are all hot. So strange because not only do we have instalove with the main character, we also witness it in the side characters. I'm all for people being super infatuted/crushing hard on someone (which was portrayed nicely with Celia frequently being nervous around Aric), I couldn't help but roll my eyes that it also happened to all the Wird sisters.

With all these complaints though, my biggest gripe is how boring Aric is. I can honestly tolerate poorly written side characters, poor worldbuilding (all I'm aware of is that there's a magical lake), but the main characters (and their romance!) have to be compelling. And unfortunately, Aric was as boring as you can make a character. H was basically either this angry alpha guy who ordered people around or he was nice to Celia (but... in the most boring way). That dichotomy was also present in Celia, who was alternatively this super confident and powerful weretigress, and otherwise this nervous and anxious creature who couldn't keep it together. There was just no reason for these two people to want to be together so badly except for otherwordly forces, and no reason to stay together once they actually talk. Just a distinct lack of chemistry and spice, which considering how poor I found the worldbuilding and side characters, meant it was an overall dissatisfying read. It just had so much more potential.

An aside, but it's ironic that Celia talks about how traumatic it was to be bullied and called Weird sisters because of their last name, but that's the name of their series. Go figure, though I guess it's them owning up to their weirdness?

Also, shout out to having all the sisters be nurses! Loved that!
