Last OG. I hyped up Kirsten and was left feeling a bit deflated, but still enjoyable!

Had to read this when I found it in a Little Free Library in the neighborhood. My mom’s family immigrated from Norway in very much the same way/time as Kirsten did from Sweden. It’s no wonder I know so much about history given that I read all of the American Girl books. They sure pack a lot (including serious trauma) into 60ish pages. Appreciate the historical section at the end, too.

Justice for Marta honestly.

Educational and engaging, this is one of my favorite American Girls so far!

I remember reading this and all of Kirsten’s other books throughout elementary school over and over again, so rereading it was so nostalgic and nice. This series definitely helped get me into reading when I was younger.
