A story of love and relationships across three generations. The actual title is the name of the central character who is the result of a love affair which shapes the lives of the generations covered in this book which spans from 1888 to the late 1920's.

Brook Evans is a moving and emotional story, often very sad at times as characters are damaged by misunderstanding and circumstance, a theme which continues across the generations who never fully understand each other. Fortunately, without giving anything away, all ends on a positive note with the right to love conquering in the end.

Not usually one for a love story, but this was recommended to me by a friend, and I found this to be an engaging and very moving read.
