First things first, No Jeffery Archer story is about nerve racking plot twists or the epic finale showdown between the antagonist and protagonist. It is the way in which he narrates the story and let it unfold that makes everyone a fan of his novels. All those who have read Clifton chronicles so far would have a fair idea about the story, but in this book we can move a step ahead and guess most of the plot course in advance, in some cases even before Sebastian does. While I don't have the mind to categorize it as boring, it's not definitely Harry Clifton pedigree. There are too many villains in the picture that it’s distracting rather than exciting. If there is one positive about the book, Harry Clifton is back into the limelight after being over shadowed by Sebastian and Emma in the last book. I enjoyed his part better as the rest are a swap-and-mix of whatever happened in the previous books. If you have enjoyed reading Clifton chronicles so far, you might enjoy this as well but not to the level you will expect it to be.

Slow going board meetings and repetitive court case made this the weakest book of the series so far.

Another cliff ender - who will win the trial? Emma or Virginia? And what was in the letter, will it help or hinder Emma?

Lots of unanswered questions for the next novel to unravel for us readers

Was I the only one who glanced over the Russian story?

Looking forward to the next novel in this series, and following that one, I believe there will be at least one more in the Clifton Chronicles series.
adventurous medium-paced

I love how Jeffrey Archer has managed to keep the series interesting and worth reading! loved this book!!

Gaidīju kaut ko līdzīgu The Saint, bet vietā dabūju kkādu britu variāciju par Dallas. Attiecībā uz brutāli atklāto klifhangeri varu autoram pateikt- pissofmate!

I have been enjoying the Clifton Chronicles series, but I found this one a bit too predictable. Still an interesting story line and I enjoyed the book. The characters in the series are interesting, although I do find the female characters to be somewhat one-dimensional even though they are often portrayed as strong, successful women.

Eminently readable. The ending, however, was less than satisfactory.

Still a page utrner but how will I wait until 2016 for the next one? These cliffhangers!

Did I read that right!!! how could it end that way!! argh!!!
