Well… That was… predictable.
Sorry Alex Michaelides. The beginning had me intrigued and hooked because I wanted to learn more about why Alicia was so silent. What was it that had her mute all these years? And what the hell happened to her husband and how he was killed? Very intrigued.

It was such a 'meh' for me. I don't know if I'd actually class it as a psych thrilled to be quite honest. 

Unfortunately I am one of those people who can predict the end of thrillers / mysteries and I saw this one coming quite early on. I went "Hah imagine if this whole time *insert ending here*" yeah, I got that quickly.

Okay I could NOT put this book down! I really enjoyed reading this book but THE PLOT TWIST!? I had so many predictions and theories while I was reading this book but NONE of them were correct! I was absolutely mindf*cked at the ending😲🤯

This book had me hooked from the start because I was constantly intrigued by Alicia’s story. I absolutely loved how the story alternated between present day and Alicia’s diary! 

This book was very intriguing but the last 50 pages is what really fascinated me. The ending was absolutely brilliant and definitely wins the award on most shocking twist ever! 🤯📖

I do wish there was a second book! I want to know more on Kathy’s thoughts, I want to know what happens with Theo, I want to know more 😂😵‍💫🤯 

All in all, I definitely recommend this book if you like psychological fiction! This one is definitely a must for y’all! 📖💯

I enjoyed the plot twist of this book and such but the only way to enjoy it is to weirdly enough, not over internalize it. It was shocking and addicting but overall i struggle with the poor display of mental health and the deeply based misogyny. Somehow this book makes the women look bad when a man is the bad guy and mastermind behind all of the evil.
