This book had me hooked the whole time - every twist and turn blew me away and I couldn't guess any of the book in all honesty but
the main reason for the lower star rating was the ending. It was quite good and quite shocking but honestly I wish Theo hadn't gotten caught. Yes it was poetic justice and yadda yadda but in the end, I wanted him to win completely.

This book could have been so much. I have a background in Psych, and in theory this should have been something I really enjoyed.

But I just didn't. Even if we ignore the boundary breaking going on by the Psychotherapist, he still doesn't act like a Psychotherapist let alone one that had been working at Broadmoor for ~5 years.

When I was reading “One for Sorrow,” a fellow reader commented that it the book was a “Great Value version of ‘The Silent Patient.’” It gave me quite a chuckle and inspired me to read this book. However, after listening to the audiobook version, I must disagree with the fellow reader. I feel like “The Silent Patient” is the Great Value version of “One for Sorrow” if I had to make the comparison. I felt like One for Sorrow was a lot more gripping of a novel, although there was a lot of fluff that could’ve been removed. I do appreciate that the author of this book didn’t make the book unnecessarily long. It helped to give it a fast-paced vibe. I didn’t find the book particularly thrilling though.
