Mary Higgins Clark is the absolute greatest of easy reading thrillers. Can always finish her books in a day they’re so well written and easy to sink into.

3.5 stars

I love all books by Mary Higgins Clark and this one as well. Even though the story was a little far fetched in some ways, it was still very enjoyable, fun, interesting and kept me reading to find out what was going to happen next. Alvirah and Willy show up in this book but they are not main characters so if you love them, you'll enjoy seeing them again but if you don't know who they are, this is a nice introduction to them. Unlike some of her other books, this one very closely follows a court case so if you like reading about how it all plays out in court, then this is definitely recommended.

Slightly predictable but you still get your mhc femmes.

I admit I'm disappointed in this one. I have always loved MHC because her mysteries are clean and suspenseful with plot twists and complications and I love being surprised at the end. This one, however, was predictable and read like an author's first novel. I knew who dunnit by the time I was halfway in, and the mystery surrounding the birth parents was also completely transparent. Sigh.
mysterious fast-paced

A decent read, but it's way too predictable.

Oh dear. This was every damsel-in-distress cliche rolled into one and combined with about 85 ridiculous coincidences. It was painful to read.
