Super cute story. One of the better books involving teenaged characters I’ve read in a while. Each character had their par5 and played it nicely, Colton and Riley were a good depiction of dislike to like. I enjoyed Riley being a super smart independent girl. She was still willing to learn and listen but she wasn’t afraid to tell how she felt. Overall, I’d recommend this story to anyone looking for a quick and fun YA story that’s easy to enjoy a lot!

First I didn't know this was a YA book. I'm not deducting any points from that because I enjoy a good ya every once in a while. Once I realized I adjusted my expectations and moved on.
BUT WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THE MAIN MALE INTEREST!??! Were supposed to root for him? His judgemental, stubborn, closed minded, Jack ass self?
He's literally judging Riley for what she's wearing and what she's doing when SHE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING TO THIS GUY!!!! my girl literally is having the worst start of summer, she has to move, the plane lost her luggage, she had to buy a bunch of random shit, and now some loser is giving her crap because he she's from the big city so she "can't understand what it means to be camping and on the prairie."
With all due respect, he lost me. I fear he never had me to begin with. I physically couldn't listen to this anymore 😭

This book was fine! Nothing wrong with it, it was cute. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking. I do like Nebraska though!
Kissing him is a “homecoming”? Girl, you met him five days ago.
A cliche and dull young adult romance. These characters are nobodies and thus are entirely forgettable. Oh, she’s not like other girls because she knows about worms and clouds and likes to draw? Who is she beyond that? You’ll never know. You’ll never know any of the other characters either because they are just set dressing and serve no purpose to the characters or story. It’s all so tired, flat, and predictable.
