I'm reviewing for A Tale of Love and Torment. It's an incredible twist on the princesses and the frog fairytale. Instead of the Prince being turned into a frog it's the Princesses. After a terrible turn of events Callie seeks out the help of Quinn and Ash to help cover up a crime. They are cursed for it and must face their true feelings in order to break the curse placed on them by the forest Guardian. This twisted tale is told in a way that is sexy and keeps you turning the pages.

This Anthology is an amazing read. So many twists and turns in the modern rewriting of some of our favorite Fairytales.
A Tale of Love And Torment is G.R. Loreweaver's take on the frog princess.
A tale of sacrifice and torment, accidents and true love.
You will love all the twisted fairytales by many different authors.

Title: Through Blood And Roses

➡Short story from book Once Upon An Ever After this book has multiple short stories from different authors

Author: Ashley Kay

Genre: Adult, spicy paranormal romance, fairy tale retelling

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.5

Characters: Seraphina, Kieran, Chase, Ben, Zeke, Zale, etc

Number of pages: 131

Dual pov: The Wolf King and Seraphina

Summary/Synopsis

This book has at least 3 mature scenes between the love interest.

Seraphina's family is killed and someone is after her. A man rescues her and takes her to a safe house. She soon learns that not everything is as it seems.

This is the second fairy tale retelling I have read. I enjoyed the book it was interesting. The book was nice and short. It did leave on a cliffhanger. I do not know if it will continue.

This world has many supernatural creatures like werewolves, shifting bears, harpies, Phoenix, etc. We mostly focus on the werewolves. I did like many of the characters but my favorite character was Zale.

I did feel that the book was slow in some parts. There was also nothing going on in one part of the book but I understand that the book was very short.

I recommend this book if you want to read something nice and short.

First story I am going to review (update as I read more) is G R Loreweaver's 'A Tale of Love & Torment'. It is a retelling of The Frog Prince, but with a gender role swap. We have a princess who on the eve of getting married is thrown into a horrible event that causes her to be cursed and only with the coming together of three will her curse be broken. This is a great story, with a HEA for the ages. I read it on and off over my day (because sometimes life doesn't allow a one sitting read).

Second story I read was Tale of Blood and Snow by Lizzy Prince. What a retelling with an adult twist of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (or in this case Wolves). It had an evil stepmother who was also a witch, our sweet Snow (who isn't just pale skinned and pretty), Cash (a dreamy hottie wolf), and THE SEVEN, love Doc! You have steam, you have danger and violence, but most of all, a HEA for the ages. What more could you ask for? Enjoy reading this one, I sure did!

A Tale Of Love & Torment by G.R. Loreweaver Review:

This is a retelling of The Frog Prince, but with the roles reversed. I enjoyed this story, and the twist that Loreweaver added to it, which was highly entertaining.

Princess Calliope finds herself on the eve of her wedding day, after arranging her own marriage to Prince Beau to save her kingdom. After a turn of events, she finds herself in a certain situation that leads her to seeking out the help of the man, Quinn, who has held her heart and another, Ash, who has loved her for years. Not knowing that it will lead to her and the men being cursed and her being turned into a frog, by the Guardian of the Forest surrounding her kingdom.

All three must break the curse before the 4th day or Calliope will be left as a frog forever. This story has an HEA and has convinced me to putchase the anthology just to see what other twists have been done to the other stories by different authors.
