This was a lot less of a Mystery than I was expecting (especially from Jennifer Lynn Barnes!). While certainly readable, with an intriguing cast of characters, unfortunately it didn't grab my interest quite enough... Although I had book 2 ready to go, I didn't feel compelled to actually read it.

I am a huge Jennifer Lynn Barnes fangirl. I genuinely feel that she could never disappoint me with her books. She is incredible at setting up mysteries and plot twists. She has this habit of slowly setting everything up and then throws everything at ya within the last 20 pages and you have no idea what the heck is even going on. This book is filled with so much humor, sass and snark...all with that southern charm, of course. I highly recommend this ESPECIALLY because the second book, Deadly Little Scandals, is even better -- and juicier.
i really love the characters in this book and the way the mystery developed i might read the other books
