I don’t think there is anything inherently wrong with this book despite its excessive length. The glorification of the U.K.’s history definitely got on my nerves, but I understand that this is a romance novel from 2015. I also wasn’t a fan of most of the characters. That’s a totally personal thing though and I didn’t hate the book as a whole, so it has escaped a 1-star rating.

First of all, what's with that end and that pov change? I didn't like it at all.
Anyway this wasn't nearly as good and dreamy as it is made up to be, but it's still very addictive. Like some guilty pleasure trash TV.

I liked Bex, Nick, Cilla, Gaz and even Bea. I absolutely hated Lacey from the start and I knew where this was going with her and it was horrible. I hated how she behaved like a spotlight bitch and then went all "Bohoo you have it all and I am getting kicked blabla" when she clearly was at fault for her own predicament. Also that love triangle with Freddy? That was Sooo awkward and downright gross. I loved their relationship as brother and sister but then why did they have to ruin it?

The whole thing is pretty close to the wiki entry of Kate, actually so close I was surprised. If it was half as bad in real as in this book then boy poor girl.

But that cliffhanger in the end was annoying. I hope they do explain how they got out of the whole shit with Clive.
Also I would like to see more of the royals because they are stereotypes at best.

Whoever said this book was a joy from start to finish was sitting on a throne of lies. If I wanted to read about unpleasant rich people who deal with all of life's problems by drinking, doing drugs, and sleeping around, well, let's just say I do not want to read about that. Near the end of the book, our main character says something like, "Why the heck couldn't I pull my crap together like a grownup?" (Edited for language). Good question, Bex. If you could have, maybe I wouldn't have hated you and this book quite so much.

Why was this so good???

I couldn't stop reading and this felt so real and of course totally predictable, but I didn't mind at all :'D sometimes we just have to dive into a story and dream and forget about our normal every life!

A silly cheesy book but l absolutely devoured it. Great read.

update January 2018 - just as good as l remembered. read a version with a bonus Freddie chapter that was great.

Lacey got a redemption arc and I absolutely hated because it feel so fake, her character created most of the drama, she was a horrible sister but then she "saved" the day?
