My first book from this author. I only know that the series “one of us is lying” is famous but i have never gotten around to reading it. When I saw this book lying on the free books shelf at the local library I thought I will experience her writing style and type or mystery before deciding whether to catch up on the series.

I think generally quite easy to follow through with the plot. Not sure if the reveal of the actual culprit at the one is what I like, but it was unexpected definitely. In general I don’t like to over analyze and try to figure out who the actual culprit is anyways because I don’t want to spoil myself, so I do appreciate being surprised at the end of this book. And right at the very end as well, as you thought the story is over and everything is settled, it seems like there could be a continuation to it if the author decides to. Either way it is a rather interesting way to end.

Probably my least favorite book from this author so far. A lot of things that happened were a bit ridiculous, but then again The Cousins had a very extra climax.

This wasn't one of McManus's best. Two of the three main characters were good, but Cal... I don't know why, but he really annoyed me. I just couldn't stand him. Also, when I can figure out what happened before I reach halfway... Sigh. It was a decent book, just rather predictable.
