yaaaass!
after 2 lousy YA books i find one thats actually pretty good. As it clearly says in one of its reviews in the back of the book it is a page turner. had a lot of fun with it.

It’s my second time reading this book, i’ve read it for the first time just after it came out but i didn’t remember anything, which should be the first sign for me to know how disappointing it will be. It wasn’t bad, but i’d say it’s very bland and extremely average. The ending was the most disappointing, cause it felt like the author just wanted to finish writing it as soon as possible. Bonus points for the songs on the playlist.
OVERALL IMPRESSION: I had pretty high hopes for this book, but I was slightly let down. It didn't hold my attention as much as I wanted it to. I wanted to know what was going on and what was going to happen, but the book was so slow moving that I don't know if reading it was worth finding out what actually did happen.
I think the ending was done nicely. For a book with this tough subject matter, I feel the book ended in the best way possible.
CHARACTERS: I liked Sam, the main character. I felt bad for him having to deal with the struggles of losing his only friend and having to come to terms with moving on with his life and putting himself out there.
COVER: The cover is amazing. I love the color and the silhouettes.
**I received an ARC of this book from Amazon Vine for my honest review.**

I bought this book on impulse. I was at a Barnes and Noble and I remembered seeing the cover from an Epic Reads Instagram post. Intrigued, I got it along with Red Queen and The Way We Bared Our Souls. Honestly, I'm really glad I did.
I absolutely ADORE this story. The main character, Sam, recently lost his friend, Hayden, to suicide and thinks it is his fault. Hayden, however, left him a playlist of songs so that he'd understand what he was going through.
I was more pleased by this book than expected. The book isn't just about the songs, and Sam doesn't obsess over it - it's simply there for another way to read the story, and it turned out amazingly. The love interest was done perfectly; I had predicted what was going to happen before, but I didn't truly expect it to happen. I liked the theme of "don't judge a book by its cover," which I was surprised spread out from more than Sam finding out more about Hayden. Also, the fact that most of the things did not end up being permanent.
I'm usually pretty judgemental when it comes to contemporary - I either love it or hate it. This one belongs in the former category.

Muy mala ejecución y final. Lo único bueno fue la playlist porque cae en lo mismo y lo mismo. Típica historia gringa, me recordó a las ventajas de ser invisible pero mil veces peor y con un amor sacado de la alcantarilla.
3.5 Stars
Sam and Hayden are on their way to a party when they get into one of the biggest fights they’ve ever had. The next morning, Sam wakes up to find Hayden… and a message telling him to listen to this playlist and he will understand everything.
This book could’ve gone in a completely different direction when talking about suicide, which is a heavy enough topic to begin with, but thankfully it wasn’t too bad. It doesn’t focus on why Hayden did it, it focuses on the loved ones who can’t help but blame themselves for his death.
Very YA, but not a bad read. Sam learned that listening to people will help you learn what they’re really saying and although it took him the whole book to figure that out, I’m glad he did. The playlist was a neat idea, but I won’t lie, when I first read the back of this book, it gave me huge Thirteen Reasons Why vibes, but it wasn’t like that at all. (Thank goodness!)
Not a bad book, but probably wouldn’t re-read it.
