dark mysterious sad tense fast-paced

read this very quickly while waiting in the hospital… the portuguese translation was pretty much on point, absolutely loved all the very portuguese names they gave the characters and was very surprised to find out this was a nancy drew story

I love that Bess is a professional screamer. I love the super bizarre local restaurant based on a school cafeteria (???) that got WAY more prominence than the plot required. I love Boris the dog. I love that the dog's name is Boris.

This was fun. I liked the filming of the movie in the background. I do feel like foreshadowing really gives away the villain though.

I enjoyed this read. It had a few possible red herrings, lots of fun characters, vivid imagery, and is a fun spooky romp. Also definitely wish I had the terror weekend t-shirts mentioned as they sound fun.

A good solid Nancy Drew book. I enjoyed the story despite some silly parts in the book. For example
Nancy is in the attic and thinks her friend George (who she knows fell asleep on the couch) is playin a trick on her. It was a little ridiculous that she didn't think it was the suspect given they had already been in the attic multiple times.
but my childhood love of Nancy Drew books helped me overlook the weaknesses. Nostalgia am I right?
