While this book was short, it was still packed of so many emotions. Dez and Jasmine have a unique bond that fits them so well. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to continue on with this series.
Omg this book!!! I just....ugh! The romance! The tension! The sexual tension! Ahh!! Ugh!! I can't handle it! That was beautiful! Jennifer can definately write a kiss scene! Damn!

4 stars. I don’t know how I missed this prequel novella all these years. I was obsessed with this series and somehow didn’t know this even existed until now. I’m planning on re-reading this series so that I can read the new spin off book and this was the perfect way to get back into the world.
This is set about four years before White Hot Kiss and follows Dez and Jasmine who are to mated. They are both wonderful characters. JLA really knows how to write swoon worthy guys and Dez is no exception. He’s incredibly sweet and even though he messed up, he goes out of his way to make it up to Jasmine. Jasmine herself was great, she’s funny and spunky and just a very likable character. Their relationship is very adorable and I loved the ending.
Also, there’s cameos from Roth, Zayne and a 13 year old Layla and I just wanted to cry all of the happy tears.
Overall, a very well written and fun novella. I'm looking forward to re-reading this series.

I love JLA’s current series but this book was a drag to read. It’s a short story that took me forever because nothing about it interest me.

I didn't expect to love this novella as much as I did because I didn't really care much for Dez and Jasmine, but WOW! really loved it. It was amazing how much I felt for the characters in such a short time. My favorite part was when they got ice cream and I also liked Roth's cameo. Fun to know just how long he has been watching Layla.
this novella feels like a mix of Vampire Academy and The Mortal Instruments, i can’t wait to read the next books of the saga
A story about gargoyle, WHAT?
OK this was one different read that’s for sure!! I just love the flow and writing of Armentrout she had me hooked from the start! Well let me say it was HOT, powerful and a true love story!
Jasmine was one character I never expected when I started to read this one she knew what she wanted and she was going to get it. Even after her father announced that her and her long time crush and BFF where going to be mated and he, Dez, took off. She was determined to move on and forget him but you guessed after three years and time to mate he was back and oh was he even better looking.
It was fun to watch these two together. Dez acted like nothing happened and he never left, and Jasmine fought everything inside her to not fall for him again. But does it work and are they meant to be together? There is so much in this one that makes you hunger for more never wanting to stop. There is demons, fights, love, friendship and so much more on the story of Jasmine and Dez so get ready to fall into this one! Thanks Armentrout I cant wait for more from EVERYONE in this one!
I know there are a lot that leave quotes but I think in this novella I have to say I LVOED IT ALL! Its such a great read I promise you will love it and EVERYTHING it has to offer!
