Such a sweet story! Dez and Jasmine are so adorable together, I was curious about them when they briefly appeared in The Dark Elements trilogy and this novella didn't disappoint, really enjoyed it!

Meh. Was looking for something short to kill a couple of hours, and since I read the Dark Elements trilogy last year, picked this prequel. Didn't really care about the characters, storyline was mind-numbingly predictable, and the best part was the cameos from the other books. If I had read this one first, I don't think I would have read the other three. Expected better from Jennifer Armentrout, who usually writes excellent romance.

This was a cute romance, set in the universe of white hot kiss which I loved. It gave a little more insight on the world of the wardens, and their mating traditions, which I enjoyed reading about. However, it was much too short in my opinion. I would have like more background on the relationship, and more storyline that included their mating ritual and early 'married' life.

I know, I know...a short story...still it did feel like Dez was a completly new character...did not truly recognize him :/

Great introduction to The Dark Elements world! It definitely had a Rachel Vincent feel! I hope to see the characters again in the next book!

I loved this for what it was and the little Glimpse we got to see of Layla Zayne and Roth, but now that I am on the second book in the series I'm tying to see where it all tied in, not to say that I didn't love it, cause I did.
