ok they were cute and all and i'm giving it 4 stars despite how i'm really feeling because i think the whole series (the dark elements & the harbinger) is just really repetitive. another "i've loved you since our first interaction/since i first saw you) which the fact that roth was in this book was yikes. also really was noticing the flaws in this and the dark elements series on how sometimes jeniffer l armentrout just kinda forget about things/plot points she creates?? also the whole reason he left without saying goodbye was STUPID and made like no sense like literally i was more pissed after he told her the reason then before he did. really not a good reason even if she would have stopped you if i was her i would have beat his ass.
What a perfect novella for this series. It gave me just the right amount of feels and insight into this crazy world and made me excited to jump into Layla’s story. Jasmine was so right to have all the feelings of grief and abandonment when Dez left her, and I was hoping there would be a good reason for his actions, and there was. Coming back for her, staking his claim and not taking no for an answer had me fall just a little in love with him too.

I swear, Jennifer L. Armentrout NEVER fails for me to OBSESS over her books. I recently finished White Hot Kiss (which is the first book) and holy cow guys. I promise this is SO worth the read!

I can’t get over how much I LOVED this novella. I really wish it was longer because I wanted to see more of Dez and Jasmine’s story. — Just so you know, White Hot Kiss isn’t from their perspectives, it’s Layla, a character you meet in the novella.
I promise this is so worth the read! You get more of an understanding of the world before you dive into the book.

In such a short time I feel totally in love with Jasmine and Dez. Despite the anger Jas originally had towards Dez for leaving, there was no denying their chemistry. It was not just love and lust that showed, but true friendship, loyalty and genuinely caring for one another.
Following their adventures with one another and seeing their relationship blossom was absolutely wondering to see unfold. I loved getting a glimpse into their lives and the decisions that would mold their future, together.

This was a cute quick little novella. I liked their story a lot and it was a nice little bonus. I LOVEDDDDD the ROTH highlight. That was absolutely a highlight of the book and it was nice to see younger Layla!

I loved this so much! In true JLA fashion the sexual tension is REAL! Definitely worth the read.
