Dang! This one sucked me in and its everything I absolutely look for in a paranormal YA read. Onto the next one! #LibraryLoveChallenge

Zu kurz für eine Rezi, aber es hat mich angefixt, ganz schnell nun Band 1 von Dark Elements zu beginnen

Bitter Sweet Love is an enticing introduction to the Dark Elements world. This short prequel focuses on Dez and Jasmine, which we will see again as secondary characters of the three books that follow.

After being gone for three years, Dez is back to claim the love of his life or, as it's a tradition in the warden community, to be mated. They grew up together and had feelings for each other, and just as Jasmine's dad announced that they would mate, he disappeared. And she hasn't been able to get over it, much less to forgive him for breaking her heart. She has seven days to give him a final answer but, before doing so, she demands him to meet some conditions.

It's swoony the way Dez will give everything to make Jas happy. He is very much protective of her, as every warden is of the women. And he is hot and charming, and so very alpha with a huge heart. Jasmine is fierce yet centered, and will quickly discover that love doesn't fade nor goes away. They are so amazing together, that I found myself devouring their story.

Who would have thought that I would be swooning over gargoyles and demons? The world Jennifer L. Armentrout created is addictive and captivating. I can't recommend this series enough.

I have read the The dark elements a couple of times, just never this prequele. I have decided to read the spin off series and it sounded like a good idea to reread this series before that, And then the right way so here we are.

Bitter sweet love is a good introduction to the world, it refreshed all the lingo and the set up and i really liked the story off these two people, i knew some names but i don't really remember what their deal was and how they fit into the main story line but we will figure that out. I'm glad i read it, but it doesn't seem likely to reread it again.

I did really like seeing small Layla and Zayne togheter, that was really cute.

“Nothing in this world is stronger than love. It should always be enough. No matter what.”

This is a prequel novella to a new series called THE DARK ELEMENTS. I cannot wait to read the new series. This novella was a wonderful introduction into this world of demons and wardens. I also am excited to read about Layla and see where her story will go.

3.5 ⭐️ This was such a good little novella. Loved Dez and Jas’s relationship. Didn’t love the miscommunication and if that was gone I would’ve ranked this higher.

Roth knew Layla all this time ?????
