My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I read this series forever ago, so I'm not sure why it took me so long to get to this prequel. This was one of my favorite series by JLA, so I've been excited to read this one for a long time. It didn't disappoint. I was familiar with the story and characters (having read the novel.) Novellas can be hard to do well, but I enjoyed this one all the same. Always happy to read more JLA books.

This was a great read. The story was cute and short. The characters were great. I want to know more about the story since I plan on reading the series now, and I am glad that this gives me a glimpse of what to expect. I wish this novella was longer, but I am sure that I will get more of it in the first book. I can't wait to read the series. Overall, a cute read.
I said I wasn't going to read more of this series and then immediately went and read this prequel novella. Still wish it wasn't YA, but the characters and relationship conflict interested me more than the ones in the main story. It all just feels so superficial though, the depth of emotion you can feel in books is just missing.
